Council for Coordination oP Scientific Activity in the Republic
This council has recently been set up within the structure of the academy.
It has 14 members, and is under the chairmanship of V. F. Kuprevich, president
of the academy. The task of the council is the coordination of scientific
research work carried out by republic scientific research and higher educational
institutions in the fields of social, biological, agricultural, physicomathemati-
cal, and technical sciences.
The following reports were given at the first session of the council:
"Information on the Work and Tasks of the Council for the Coordination of
Scientific Activity," by V. F. Kuprevich, Active Member of the academy.
"Basic Observations on Scientific Research Plans of Higher Educational
Institutions of the Belorussian SSR," by N. F. Yermolenko, Active Member of the
academy.
"The Development of the Productive Forces of the Pripyatskiy Woodlands,"
by I. S. Lupinovich, vice-president and Active Member of the academy.
"Coordination of Scientific Work in the Belorussian SSR on the Study of
Sapropels," by F. I. Bel'kevich, Corresponding Member of the academy.

Institute of Animal Husbandry, Academy of Sciences Belorussian SSR
