This morning, cold, clrar weather with raat prevailed ir. the northern and
northeastern regions of the Eltropenn USSR attd the northeaaern portion of the
central region. Warn, :lightly cloudy weather prevailed in the Baltic republics.
Cool, slightly cloudy weather nreva:le3 in the rest of the Shroncan USSR. Rain
fell in some localities in rhu-tnarskaya and Stalingradskaya oblasts and the
Caucasus.
Lsst eight's lowest temperature in Moscow was 7 degrees above zero; it was
19 degrees at noon today.(1)
Yesterday during the day, variable cloudiness without precipitation prevailed
in the Belorussian SSR. Temperatures at 1500 were 18 3egrees above zero in Vite-
bsk and Gomel', 19 in rAinsk, 20 in Polotsf:, Bobtvysk, and Brest, 21 in Grodno,
and 23 in Pinslc.(2)
Yesterday's temperatures in Lenin;;rad were 15 dc~recs above zero during the

ern Komi lLSSR. Reins were reocrded in some localities. Cool weather with rain
in some places occurred in the Estonian SSR, Leningradskaya Oblast, and the north-
ern portion of the central region. Rains fell in Ryazanskaya and Tul'skaya oblasts,
northeastern Komi ASSR, and the Lower Vora Region. Slightly cloudy, warm weather
prevailed in the rest of t.2:e European USSR.

gions o: the European USSR, including the southern portion of the control region.
Showers and thunderstorms in some tocaliti.es occurred in Kaluzhskaya, Kurskoya,
Voronezhskaya, Sumsknya, and Khar'kovskaya obiasts, the northern portion of Ros-
tovskaya Oblast, and in some places .in the northern Caucasus and the Lower Volga
Region. Warm, slightly cloudy weather prevailed in the tdiadlc Volga Region, Ki-
rovsl-.aya and htoloto?rskaya oblasts, aad tl:e Bash}:irskaya ASSR. Cool weather pre-
vailed in the northeastern portion of theclrropean USSR. Rains fe11 in some
