1950 WATER CONSERVATION PROJECTS
ON THE CH 1 110 AND THE END HO .331 NORTH IS.:IiGSU

Conservation of the waters of the Ch'i Ho and the Shu Ifo is one of the
important projects undertaken in North Kian- . The flow of water of the Ch'i
H. is 6,000 meters per minute. The highest f'o?,w of water of the Tsao-ho-chen
Central Canal is 2,500 meters per minute, and it !s hoped that the flo., of
water can be controlled to 1,160 meters per minute. A temporary contracting
dike was constructed at Tsao-ho-chen to control the water.
After the first period of water conservation work on the Ch'i Ho and Shu
Ho, the drainage was contro'-._ed as follows:
Chung-chin, new Ch'i Ifo drainer
