The Leningrad Elektrosila Plant fs producing a small series of synchronous
generators for kolknoz hydroelectric power stations. The plant has completed
two of these generators.

The Leningrad Elektrosila Plant has almost doubled its production plan for
consumer goods in comparison with recent months. Shop No 12 has doubled the
output rate of electroaynamic flashl.ights.
BUILDS HYDROGENERATORS FOR RURAL AREAS -- Moscow, Pravda, 11 Oct 53
The Sverdlovsk Uralelektroapparat Plant has completed the assembly of two
750-kilowatt hydrogenerators for the Boguslavskaya GES, Kiyevskaya Oblast. The
large machinery shop is working on hydrogenerators for the electric power sta-
tion being built on the Kolkhoz imeni Kalinin, Kalinskiy Rayon, Kirgiz SSR, and
for two kolkhoz electric power stations in the Uzbek SSR and in Krasnodarskiy
Kray.
Plant designers, headed by Stalin Prize winner K. F. Kostin, are complet-
ing the technical project and working drawings of a new series of hydrogenera-
tors for the electrification of agriculture.

BUILDS, REPAIRS ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT AND FARM MACHINES -- :oscow, Trud, 23 Sep 53
r The Tbilisi Plant of Glavsel'elektro (Main Ad.-?inistration of' Rural Electri-
flcatiun) builds equipment for rural hydroelectric power statii.us, overhauls
transformers, overhauls tractor engines, and builds light scrapers for MPS of
the Transcaucasus, the Belorussian SSR, and the Ukrainian SSR.
The plant has developed an electric sawmill and will produce several dozen
by the end of 1953. The plant has also designed an electrically operated
hearth for farm use and is preparing to series produce it.
MAKES MOBILE GENERATORS -- Moscow, Moskovskiy Komsomolets, 17 Oct 53
The Moscow Electrical Machinery Plant of the Ministry of Agriculture and
Procurement USSR has shipped 85 mobile generators t rural areas [in 1953).
DEVELOP MOBILE GENERATOR -- Moscow, Izvestiya, 29 Ont 53
I. Lur'ye, chief designer of the Rostov-on-Don Machinery Plant, Ministry
of State Farms USSR, has developed a new mobile generator for farm use. The
unit is equipped with a 13-horsepower diesel engine and an 8-kilowatt generator,
and can be used in threshing, animal husbandry, hay making, and illumination.
The ministry plans to start mass production of the new generator in the near
future.
SHIPS MOBILE GENERATORS -- Petrozavodsk, Leninskoye Znamya, 19 Nov 53
The Likino Machine Building Plant has shipped two PES-60 mobile generators
to Sakhalin, thus fulfilling rators were

shipped shipped of the timber and paper to the Karelo-Finnish SSR, the Urals, Western and Eastern Siberia, and
the Far East. Many generators were also shipped for use in the coal, fish, and
food industries and for use in agriculture.
The plant also produces mobile workshops for the timber industry.
WIND-DRIVEN GENERATORS FOR RADIOS -- Moscow, Trud, 3 Oct 53
The Molotov Ural Plant makes wind-driven generators for kolkhoz radio
centers. The plant is now producing 20 times as many generators as it did in
1951 and the production cost of generators has been reduced 15 percent in the
same period.
PRODUCES EXCITERS, EQUIPMENT FOR LGCOMOTIVES -- Baku, Bakinskiy Rabochiy,

The Kharkov Diesel Locomotive Electrical Equipment Plant has produced the
first group of exciters for 25,000-kilowatt turbogenerators. Formerly, these. .
complex machines were produced ,nly by the Leningrad Elektrosila Plant imeni
S. M. Kirov.
The plant has also turned out the first set of electrical equipment for
TE-3 diesel locomotives.
