There are now three automatic transfer machine lines in the automatic
lathe shop of the 1??osco:r First estate Dearing ?lant. In the next few days, all
60 machine tools in this shoo will receive oil from n central lubricating
system.

The Moscow First State Hearing 'lant has set up thx?ee of the 11 constant-
flow lines planned for the automatic lathe shop. Such automatic constant-flow
lines have a daily capacity of ?aore than 20,000 rings.
Small Series Shop Pto 3 is making hearings for rolling mills, for blooming
mills, and for machines and units used in #~e petroleum industry. The shop is
now working on sphex?ical roller bearings for-'24-cubic-me+,er excavators. Great
accuracy is required in the production of these 800-kilograml~penrings.

Roller bearings made by the plant are being tested on passenger and lreight
care and on 'diesel sad electric locomotives of the Northern end Ootobes railroed
systems. Equipping all rolling stock xith these bearings would reduce toasumptlon
of fuel and electric power by railroads eight to ten times.

The consumer goods shop of the Moacox First State Bearing Plant makes equip-
ment for the furniture, sexing, and canning industries.
LINE POLISHING DRUMS WITH RUBBER; REPAIR HEARINGS -- Hoecov, Vechernynya

P. M. Shulitskiq, chief mechanic of the Moacov Bearing Repair Plant, uses
old inner tubes from passenger plane tires to line drums used for polishing
bearing balls. The rubber linings reduce noise in the polishing shop and lest
as long as a steel drum (3 weeks). The rubber linings coat only 50 rublee~ vhila
the steel drums made of sheet steel 8-L2 millimeters thick coat 500 rubles.

In October, the Moscow Bearing Repair Plant will repair 3,000 be:riage for
farm machines. These bearings have out-of-round and 'tapered rings and vote for-
merly melted dove a6 scrap. Repair of these bearings will cave $ tone of ex-
pensive bearing steel.

In October, the plant shipped thousands of assorted bearings to [G1eY]
Mashsbyt (Main Administration of Sales, Ministry of Machine Building). A laT$e

The Moecox Second State Bearing Plant completed its plan for the flret 9
months of 1953 on 19 October. On 1 October, the plant completed Ste 1953 plan
for farm machine spare parts.

MECHANIZE BEARING OUTPUT -- Mnsco:r, Pravda, 28 SeP 53
At the Sverdlovsk Baaring Plant, a group of workers headed by chief tech-
nologist Kitayev has set up an automatic transfer machine line for making
rollers. Three grinding machines in the line formerly turned out 3,500 rollers
a shift and required three operators. flow the three machines are operated by
one man and turn out 13,000_15,000 rollers a shift.
A second automatic transfer machine line is being set up. This 1".ne will
grind rollers of many different types.

Wox?kers of the ball shop of the Kharkov Bearing Plant have promised to
fulfill their 1953 Plan by 15 December, to reduce losses due to rejects 70 per-
cent as compared to 1952, and to reduce the production cost of bearings 12 per-
cent.

In 1953, the plant organized the output of large-size bearings and roller bearings
used in rail transport, Two brigades at the plant have been honored by the
Ministry of 1+Iachine Building USSR.
