This instrument, one of many developed by the observatory's scientists, will be used for observing the eclipse of the sun on 30 Tune 1954? The ob- servatory's workshop is now making large and complicated mobile spectroscopes which will be used to study the distribution of chemical elements in the sun's atmosphere.
