The Main Administration of the Civil Air Tleet of the USSR announces the
opening of a new air route from Moscow to M,tzgadan. DeT,arting (rota Moscow, the

Men'shikov, Chief of the Raulittg Department of the Tadzhik Territorial Ad-
ministration of the Civil Air Fleet, reoorts that the crews of the subdivisions
of the Tadzhik [Territorin]J Adzrunistration of the Civil Air Fleet cotrrpleted their
yearly production plans ahead of time, on 5 December.
It: 1954 air-cargo and passenger hauling will significantly increase. Atten-
tion is also being given to tae equiupir:g of airports and nircraft.
In 1954 the Civil Air Fleet will continue to provide regular air service be-
tween ~talinahgri and Moscow, hlinez?a1'nyye Vody, Tashkent, and the oblast centers
of the zepuhlic. Tz?u?sit service will be maintained through Tnshkeut and Moscow
w;.th 91i cne airportis of the USaR.

The Azerbaydzhan Administration of the Civil Air Fleet has completed the
general 11-mozth hauling lan for 1953 ahead of schedule. Recently the flow of
freight for industrial enterprises producing consumer goods increased greatly.
Three hundred tons of salt-eater fish from the fishing enterprises of the
Caspian Sea have been delivered to the canning factories of the Dageatanskaya
ASSR.
A great quantity of raw silk bas been hauled from the enterprises of Azerbayd-
zhan to Moscow, Vil'nyus, the Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
Quantities of sturgeon and high-quality caviar are flown from Azerbaydzhan
to the workers of the Turkmen SSR.
In November the inhabitants of Moscow received about 20,000 flowers grown
in Azerbaydzhan.
A large quantity of the ball bearings produced at the Baku plant were de-
livered to the industrial enterprises of Moscow and Sverdlovsk.

The Azerbaydzhan Administration of the Civil Air Fleet has delivered nenrly
100 tons of ball bearings to the industrial centers of the USSR. It has hauled
tons of raw silk to Kaunas, Vil'nyus, Riga, and Kiev, engines to enterprises which
produce road machines, more than 300,000 kilograms of fresh fish from remote
fisheries oP the Caspian Sea to the canneries of Dagestan, and fresh caviar for
the workers of Ashkhabad.
The Civil Air Fleet has rendered a great service to the agriculture oP
Azerbaydzhan. In 1953 the pilots dusted thousands of hectares of crops.
Pereozznel of the Azerbaydzhan Administzation of the Civil Air Fleet, by
competing with the aviators of the Georgian and Armenian SSRs~ fu1f111ed'?ahead
of schedule the yearly plan fcr ton-kilometers flown by 101.3 percent and the
plan for specialized operations by 133 percent.
In 1953 a great amount of fuel was saved. This made possible an additional
35 Pairs of flights over the Baku-Moscow route.

The Ukrainian Administration ;f the Civil Alr Fleet completed in November

In socialist competition with the North Caucasus and Georgian Administrations
of the Civil Air Fleet, the Ukrainian airmen completed ahead of time on 1 December
the yearly flight plan for ton-kilometers and for hauling passengers, cargo, and
