The following review is taken from a ::ibliography nublished in Meditsinski Rab~tnik.j The first 1954 issue of the sci~tific and practical medical periodical Vrachebnov~ De]o (Medical Affairs) has seer. published. This periodical is an organ of the Ministry of Public Health Ukrainian SSR. Issue No 1, 1954, begins with an editorial entitled "The 300th Anniversary of the Unification of the Ukraine With Russ in __ a Memorable Date in the History of Our Country." The section headed "Theoretical and Clinical Medicine" contains papers on problems pertaining to the investigation of hypertension. Among these papers are the following: "Experimental Data on the Pathogenesis of Hypertension," by Prof 1l. N. Gorev, Active tdember; Acadeury of Medical Sciences USSR; "The Second Hormone Of the Cortical Part of the Suprarenals, Noradrenalin, and Its Participation in the Pathogenesis of Hypertension," by Prof 0. A. Stepun~ "Development of Coronary Insufficiency in Hypertension," by prof F, ya, primak; and "The Mechanism of the Action of Some Hypotensors in Hypertension," by Prof G. S. Gvishiani. The same section also contains article, dealing with various problems of practical medicine.
