than half the abstracts are those of Western works; 1'or example, 65 percent of
the abstracts in the FlnthematSca series, 1'or ten issur_s, are of destern articles
and books, These abstracts, generally of high quality and scientific ncctuacy,
are often rather loth{ and detailed, more so than l;nglish-language abstracts of
Soviet works.
