Zt debates and approves or amends the p~oclsmations and bylaws of the front and elects the members of the National Coun~,;il. On the basis of the reports of the National Council, the National Congress reviews the results accom- plished and determines the Future tasY?s of the front. The Nationsl Congress is convoY.ed ~y the National Council every 2 yews. However, it may be summoned for an extra session by the Pational Council or on the roc anmendation of one third of the committees of the front. The number of delegates to the National Congress from esch area is established by the National Council. The National Council, which consic~s of 105 members, directs *he activities cf the front betwee^ sessions of the Na~lonal Congress and controls the funds of the front. The National Council elects the 21 members of the presidium, xhich includes the president, vice-prec3dent,, and secretary-general of the National Courcii. Between meetings of ?'he National Council, its affairs are directed by the presidium.
