The recently constructed Is (Business) Bank building is one of the most
modern works of architecture in the city of Malatya. This structure, which was
erected at a coat of 254,000 Turkish lira and which covers an area of 235 square
meters, has a reinforced-concrete framework and is finished on the exterior with
rose-colored limestone. This structure has all modern conveniences, including
a central-heating system. The basement and ground floor are used by the bank
proper, and the second floor is used as a residence for the bank director and the
bank inspector.
The recently completed Archives Building of the Is Bank of Turkey is located
in Ankara. This structure was erected at a cost of 275,000 Turkibh lira and cov-
ers an area of 525 square meters, Construction is of reinforced concrete, with
sturdy brick walls on the exterior. On each floor, there is an office and a
classifying room at the end of the large archives area.
