pro-KMr overseas Chinese organizations in Djakarta. The data
was compiled from articles which appeared in the pro-KW Chinese
daily in Djakarta) the Tien-sheng Jih-pao, during 8 August
17 November 1952?,

ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION -- Djakarta, T'ien-aheng Jih-pao, 17 Nov 52
The Hua-ch'ito T'i-yu Ta'u-chin-hut (1) (Overseas Chinese Association
for the Provoticln of Athletics) is a federation of athletic organizations
founded on 16 November 1952. Its first group of officers include Lin Chin-
sun (2), chairman of the board of directors; Kuo P'in-chao (3) and Yeh Ch'ing-
hua (h), vice-chairmen; Yao Ch'ing (5), secretary; and Chuang Kuan-nan (6),
treasurer.
Athletic organizations represented at a meeting of the association's plan-
ning committee on 9 November 1952 Included the following: Kuang-ming (7), Tzu-
ch'lang (8) Kao-sheng (9), Chung-shan (10), Hua-ch'iao (11), Ch'ing Chi (12),
Lien Kuang (13), Kuang Jen (14), Po-ai (15), and Fukien.
YOUPH DRAMATICS CLUB -- Djakarta, Tien-sheng Jih-pao, 8 Nov 52
The Ch'ing-nien Chi-she (16) (Youth Dramatics Club) was organized in May
1952 with over 100 members. Itt. declared aim is to disseminate anti-Communist
anti-USSR propaganda through drama. Yang Sheng-feng (17) is chairman of the
board of directors.

PEKING DRAMA CLUB -- Djakarta,.T'ien-sheng Jih-pao, 1 Nov 52
Yang Yung-hsi (18) is chairman of the Sung Hsien P'ing-chi-she (19)
(Sung Hsien Peking Drama Club). Organized 3 years ago, the club claims a
membership of over 110.
TEACHERS' FEDERATION -- Djakarta, T ien-sheng Jih-pao.. 23 Oct 52
One of the functions of the Djakarta Rua Chiao-shih Lien-ho-hui (20)
(Djakarta Chinese Teachers' Federation) is to serve as an employment bureau,
for pro-KMT schools and teachers. Its services are not limited to local in-
stitutions and persons. The main office of this federation is located in the
Yin Hua Kao-shang (21) (Indonesian Chinese Senior Business School). Its ser-
vice department is located in the Rua-ch'iao Kung-hsueh (22) (Overseas Chinese
Public School).
OPERA CLUB -- Djakarta, T'ien-sheng Jih-pao, 8 Aug 52
The Po-al Ko-chi-tun (23) (Po-ai Opera Club) was organized in the audi-
torium of the Po-al School on 5 August 1951. .Its chief objective is to use
opera as a medium for the dissemination of anti-Communist propaganda. The
majority of its members are professional young people. Cheng Yu-chin (24) is
the director.
