DUTIES OF THE HUNGARIAN SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL OF PUBLIC HEALTH
Decree No 1,007 of 28 January 1954 of the Council of Ministers modifies
the duties and organization of the Scientific Council of Public Health (Egesz-
segugyi Tudomanyos Intezet) as follows:
The Scientific Council is required to make recommendations to the Ministry
of Health and to other appropriate ministries on all matters relating to public
health. The Scientific Council will cooperate with the biological and medical
departments of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in working out plans for public
health.
Members of the Scientific Council will be endorsed by the Hungarian Academy
of Sciencesand appointed for a 3-year period by the Minister of Health. The
number of the appointive members is limited to 20; in addition, representatives
of the ministries concerned will be ex-officio members.
