The dates of the ukases are given when available. Numbers in parentheses refer to appended sources.] BELORUSSIAN SSR In agreement with a proposal of the Presidium, Supreme Soviet Belorussian SSR, the Presidium, Supreme Soviet USSR, issued a ukase on 19 November 1955 changing the names of the following stations on the Belorussian Railroad Sys- tem: Gintsevichi to Gritsevets; Gorodishche-Polesskiy to Yasel'da; Svisloch' to Yelizovo; Zales'ye to Bumazhkovo. (1) KAZAKH SSR By a 22 October 1955 ukase of the Presidium, Supreme Soviet Kazakh SSR, the administrative center of Yesil'skiy Rayon, Akmolinskaya Oblast, was trans- ferred from the village of Kiyma to the settlement of Yesil'. (2) The Presidium, Supreme Soviet Kazakh SSR, issued ukases on 22 October 1955 to form, in the oblasts indicated, the following rayons: Akmolinskaya Oblast Barankul'skiy Rayon, with its center in the settlement of Barankul', because of the subdivision of Yesil'skiy Rayon Kiyminskiy Rayon, with its center in the village of Kiyma, because. of the subdivision of Yesil'skiy Rayon Kokchetavskaya Oblast Kazanskiy Rayon, with its center in the village of Kazanka, because of the subdivision of Ayrtauskiy and Ruzayevskiy rayons Chistopol'skiy Rayon, with its center in the village of Chistopol'ye, oecause of the subdivision of Ruzayevskiy and Aryk-Balyks kiy rayons Leningradskiy Rayon, with its center in the settlement of Leningrad- skiy, because of the subdivision of Kzyltus}:iy and Chkalovskiy rayons Kustanayskaya Oblast Kamyshinskiy Rayon, with its center in the settlement of Kamyshnoye, because of the subdivision of Ordzhonikidzevskiy Rayon Oktyabr'skiy Rayon, with its center in the settlement of Zheleznodo- rozhnyy, because of the subdivision of Semiozernyy and Amangel'dinskiy rayons (1) Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2011/07/08: CIA-RDP80-00809A000700250041-7 Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2011/07/08: CIA-RDP80-00809A000700250041-7 By a 22 November 1955 ukase of the presidium, Supreme Soviet Kazakh SSR, the territory of Zarechnyy Grain Sovkhoz was transferred from Ruzayevskiy Rayon, Kokchetavskaya Oblast, to Yesil'skiy Rayon, Akmolinskaya Oblast. By ukases of 22 November 1955 the Presidium, Supreme Soviet Kazakh SSR, instituted the following territorial-administrative changes: A settlement soviet with the rights of a village soviet and named Kir- gizskiy Settlement Soviet was formed in the settlement at the central farmstead of "Kirgiziya" Grain Sovkhoz, Karkaralinskiy Rayon, Karagandinskaya Oblast A settlement soviet with the rights of a village soviet and named Aynabulakskiy Settlement Soviet was formed in the settlement of the central farmstead of Aynabulakskiy Grain Sovkhoz, Zhana-Arkinskiy Rayon, Karagandin- skaya Oblast A settlement soviet with the rights of a village soviet and named Tassuatskiy Settlement Soviet was formed in the settlement at the central farm- stead of Shcherbakovskiy Grain Sovkhoz, Nurinskiy Rayon, Karagandinskaya Oblast A settlement soviet with the rights of a village soviet and named Abay- skiy Settlement Soviet was formed in the settlement at.the central farmstead of the Grain Sovkhoz imeni Abay, Kuvskiy Rayon, Karagandinskaya Oblast (3) By a 13 December 1955 ukase of the Presidium, Supreme Soviet Kazakh SSR, the populated point of Gremyzchiy was transferred from Prirtyshskiy Village Soviet to the administrative subordination of Serebryanskiy Settlement Soviet, Bukhtarminskiy Rayon, Vostochno-Kazakhstanskaya Oblast-(4) The Presidium, Supreme Soviet Kazakh SSR, issued a ukase on 24 December 1955 forming a settlement soviet in the settlement of the central farmstead of Borkovskiy Grain Sovkhoz, Mendygarinskiy Rayon, Kustanayskaya Oblast, with the rights of a village soviet, and naming it Borkovskiy. The populated point of Nikitinka, separated from Sosnovskiy Village Soviet, was included within the administrative subordination of Borkovskiy Settlement Soviet-(5) The Presidium, Supreme Sovi;at Latvian SSR, issued a ukase on 6 December i'1,5) abolishing Grivskiy Rayon and including its territory in Ilukstskiy Rayon.(6) The Presidium, Supreme Soviet RSFSR, issued ukases on 5 November 1955 abolishing the following rayons: In Sverdlovskaya Oblast -- Bilimbayevzlay Rayon, transferring its ter- ritory to the administrative subordination of Pervoural'skiy City Soviet; and Isovskiy Rayon, transferring its territory to the administrative subordination of Nizhne-Turinskiy City Soviet In Krasnodarskiy Kray -- Kirovskiy and Krasnogvardeyskiy rayons of the city of Krasnodar, with their territory transferred to Stalinskiy and Ka- ganovichskiy Rayons Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2011/07/08: CIA-RDP80-00809A000700250041-7 Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2011/07/08: CIA-RDP80-00809A000700250041-7 By a 10 November 1955 ukase of the Presidium, Supreme Soviet RSFSR, the following were transferred from Irkutskaya Oblast to Yakutskaya ASSR: Machin- skiy Village Soviet, and the populated points of Bol'shiye Kon'ki and Natora and the settlements at Kayvasovskiy and Peskovskiy logging centers, Patomskiy Village Soviet, all of Bodaybinskiy Rayon, Irkutskaya Oblast-(1) By a 21 November 1955 ukase of the Presidium, Supreme Soviet RSFSR, the workers' settlement of Sibay, Baymakskiy Rayon, Bashkirskaya ASSR, was reorgan- ized into a city of republic (ASSR) subordination. The Presidium, Supreme Soviet RSFSR, issued ukases on 1 December 1955 making the following reorganizations in the Komi ASSR: The workers' settlement of Izhma, Ukhtinskiy Rayon, was reorganized into a city of rayon subordination The populated point of Nizhnyaya Omra, Troitsko-Pechorskiy Rayon, was reorganized into a workers' settlement (7) By an 8 December 1955 ukase of the Presidium, Supreme Soviet RSFSR, the populated point of Zavodskoy, Chamzinskiy Rayon, Mordovskaya ASSR, was reor- ganized into a workers' settlement and given the name Komsomol'skiy.(8) TURKMEN SSR By an 8 December 1955 ukase the Presidium, Supreme Soviet Turkmen SSR, re- organized the populated point of Zakhmetskiy Construction Center of the Kara- Kumskiy Canal, Turkmen-Kalinskiy Rayon, Maryyskaya Oblast, into a city-type settlement, changed its name to Zakhmet, and formed a settlement soviet there. The Presidium also transferred the populated point at Zakhmet railroad station, Ashkhabad Railroad System, from the administrative subordination of Zukhmet Village Soviet to Zakhmet Settlement Soviet.(9) By a 9 December 1955 ukase the Presidium, Supreme Soviet Turkmen SSR, made a proposal which was approved by a 28 L-c_smber 1955 ukase of the Presidium, Supreme Soviet USSR, to abolish Krasnovodskaya Oblast and transfer its terri- tory to Ashkhabadskaya Oblast.(7, 10) SOURCES 1.
