of Germany) (PTDPD) is financed by the BED. Karl Raab, the treasurer of the
SiD, by order of Waiter Ulbricht, regularly transfers about 7509OO0 mar
emery month to this party. Additi onal sums of up to 200,000 eastmarks are paid
if the necessity arises. However, in spite of this help, the MDPD is always
short of money because of poor financial planning and management.1
The NDPD has been subject to a close control by thc: SLD for about 18 months.
