1. The village of Rodopsko,, Ardino Okoliya, is located approximately two or three
kilometers southeast of Ardino. It has 70 houses and is under the central juris-
diction of the Ardin.o People's Council. The village has full powers. The repre-
sentative of the village People's Council resides at Ardino. Rodopsko and the
other villages in the Ardino Obshtina have a predominantly Turkish population.
2. The village of Rodopsko is divided into the following Ilmakkhalal (quarters):
a. Kodzho Osmalar - 20 houses;
be Khadzhelil - 6 houses;
c. Kochlar - L houses;
d. ,Awed Akhlar - 6 houses; and
e. Erxhek - 30 houses.
Some of these quarters are as much as three kilometers distant from one another.
Rodopeko has a primary school located in the Ershek Quarter. Lessons are given
in both Bulgarian and Turkish. There are no militiamen stationed at Rodopsko.

The Karta lgaiya (Sofia, 1934) lists Rodopsko as part of'the Ardino
Obahtina.
