OF PAGES 1 REQUIREMENT NO. RD REFERENCES THE SOURCE EVALUATIONS IN THIS REPORT ARE DEFINITIVE. THE APPRAISAL OF CONTENT IS TENTATIVE. (FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) passing the Porkkala - TallitStra.fs. One flotilla of 12 vessels came from the direc- tion of Tallinn while the,Qthar flotilla, consisting of 11 vessels, came from a westerly direction. The two flotillas joined and proceeded in line ahead and about 50 meter425X1 apart toward Porkkala at a speed of about 12 or 14 knots. They carefully kept the distances, but did not execute any particular maneuvers. Some of the vessels carried depth charges on their quarter decks. All were of the same tune craft- 1v;no dAAn in the water with a low freeboard. 2. A Soviet steamer of About 7,or 800 tons was at anchor near Revaistein light ship. 3. Luebeck. Six Soviet minesweepers were engaged in minesweeping at a distance of about 600 or 700 meters. They fired upon a drifting mine,which exploded after eight rounds.
