Color patches worn by VPs in Bergen.during off-duty hours were: deep reel, almost shading into violet; black; dark-blue bordered black; dark-blue; medium-blue; and light blue.. Three captains who wore wings on their collar patches and allegedly belonged to the new air force had light blue service color. dark-blue bordered black collar patches belonged to tank troops and that the medium-blue collar patches belonged to motorcycle units .4 25X1 7., in late November, that construction material, chiefly cement, lumber and bricks, was shipped. in quantity to Dranske, Burg, 25X1 Glows and Tilzow. The project in Tilzow allegedly was the reconstruction of the former German ammunition depot. The last bunkers of this depot had been blown up in August 1952.. artillery ammunition,. 25X1 sea mines and V I and V 2 missiles had been stored there prior to the end of the war. 25X1 1. Compnent. It is believed that the telephone lines between Prora and ~ l sewalk and Eggesin are for the division in Prora and the Armeegruppe Nord in Pasewalk. Other lines are in existence between Eggesin and Pasewalk. paragraph 2. The lines between Prora and Rostock 25X1 and Frimerwald probably serve to connect the division in Prora and the KVPD 25X1 in Rostock and/or the tank school in Primerwald. 2. [C=t, The information fails to indicate the ation of the barracks, buildings. E ttT part of the new constructions wolua ne,mr-eurled by Soviet troops station d in 25X1 the area of Prora. . It is doubted, that they should be quartered as indicated. It had been believed that the Soviet 25X1 troops would be quartered by themselves in the northern. section of the installation and that the VP would be stationed in the southern section. 3. Comment. This is the first inforx ration to indicate a IIId Armeekorps 25X1 with subordinate 2d. and 4th Div on Ruegen Island. Only the division in Prora had been known. The indicated strength of about 20,,000 men checks., however, with available data and would permit the establishnent of two divisions. No 280-mi guns were previously observed with the VP. 25X1 4. I Comment. Previous observations indicated that the infantry had red service color, the tank and mechanized troops had black-bordered blue service color, the artillery had red-bordered black service color and the engineer had bltie-bordered black service color. No previous information indicated a special service color for motorcycle units. sECpE2;. Approved For Release 2003/08/28 : CIA-RDP80-0081OA000300570001-5
