On 16 December 1952, a conference was held by representatives of the SPCC,
the Uebigau Shipyard, and the Berlin Designing Office at the Projecting and
Designing Office of the Scniffbau VEB in' Berl in-Koepenick. The meeting was
held for the purpose of discussing the, construction of floating docks at the
Ilebigau Shipyard and their transfer, in sections, from the yard to the coast
by water. The Berlin Designing Office has contacted the Generaldirektion
Schiffahrt (Directorate General, Sb ping) for infor~nra.tion on the largest
admissible dimensions for waterway sipping.
Cocrraent. It is believed thatlthe constructions were floating crazies,
rather than floating docks, since some pontoons, for floating cranes were
scheduled to be built at TTebigau.
