1. Work was in progress early in 1952 on the electrification of the railroad line
between Zilina and Kosice. The following had been done prior-to 15 Feburary 1952-.
a. Electric cables had been laid between Zilina and Martin-Vrutky (Q50/X60).
b. Poles and insulators for cables had been fitted between Martin Vrutky and
Liptovsky Sv. Mikulas (Q50/D19).
c. The erection of masts between Liptovsky Sv. Mikulas and Strba (Q50/D48) was
in its finishing stages.

2. working between Zilina and Strba, this part of
the line was to be used beginning 1 May 1952, and then work. was to be continued
between Strba and Kosice.
3. Work was in progress in May 1952 on the construction of a new double track railroad
line between Roznava (R49/D74) and Turna nad Bodvou (R49/E 03)S which lies on the
main line from Kosice to Miskolc in,Hungary.
