1. The telephone exchange in Tecuci in installed in a building located in the
eastern part of town on the east side of the Public Park and about 100 motors
from the road which leads to the main bridge over the Barlad River.
2. The telephone exchange in Teouci is equipped v$th five central switchboards
of a maximum capacity of 100 drops each. Presently the telephone exchange

uses only 1~0 drops. The telephone nuers are of two and three digits.
first digit of the throe digit number is 0 or 1. The system in use is manual
and is referred to in Rumanian as "System BL" (local battery system). Three-
volt dry call batteries are installed in subscribers' homes.
