1. In view of the difficulties in obtaining machine oil of West European origin,
ships will now use oil of Polish or East European production. The following
types of oil (Polish production) are being used:
L 1. specific weight 0,868. at 50 C, used for engines up to 250 r.p.m.;
1. 2, specific weight between 00'880 and 0-890 at 5?C, used for engines
with more than 250 r.p,m.
2. The i.i;,1ia - Gdansk Port Administration is demanding that crews of ships should
help. in loading and unloading cargoes. This is meeting with constant opposition
not only by the crews, but also by shipst captains, who are siding with the
crews in this matter. It apPears howeverf that as a result of the steadily
increasing pressure, the crews will have to assist in loading and unloading work.
Mieczyslaw Grad, former head pf the Cultur al Apparatus is now the ,bead, of the
Political Education Office in the Ministry of Shipping at Warsaw.l.
Comment It is believed that this is the same person mentioned
bhe.ndme of Grat. This report listed Grat as a U.B. 25X1
man who was permitted to exercise- control over everythin in the Central
Administration of the Polish Merchant Marine (C.Z.P.M.L ).
