2, On 12 January 1953 Director Friedlaender of Agrimpex. Budapest, and Director Dezsi
of Terimpex, Budapest, offered Austrian government representatives 10,000 tons of
Hungarian wheat for immediate delivery to decrease the Hungarian deficit. Prices
are said to be higher than those which the Austrians are willing to pay. The
Austrians will pay per metric ton, 110 dollars for wheat, 100 dollars for corn and
105 dollars for rye, freight prepaid by rail, to the Austrian border or prepaid to
arrive in Vienna via the Danube.
