OFFICIALS ONLY A total of approximately 12 MTB1s were observed in the shelter near Woosung and cruising in the adjacent waters. They were obgerved attaining speeds timated at fifty knots. Torpedo tubes'were not gbserved,but gray:painted torpedoes were visible on'the .fteradebksal Six steel naval r`esssels, apparently con4erted from tugs and small FS clp,ss ships, were 4bserved.secuured alongside the ~aval jetty at Woosung. The cone "ship' tugs were of the forecastle and deck type, faith bridge :, and font M1 a>b ship' and a mast between the bridge and, the funnel. An aerial ran from the mast to a stick aft. There was a gun on the forecastle, two guns on the after deck, one machine gun on the bridge, and a machine gun just aft of the funnel.
