The port and city of. Gdynia are supplied with hater by the pumping station
situated near the garrison church at Oksywie. Water is pumped from deep
sotarces by four.; umpsp;_-each of 2,200 hp A filtering tank is in a large
building beside the-V= station.. In an emergency,, water pumped directly
from the sea can be filtered at this station.
2. Two tanks belonging to the former Melee Poiski concern in the port of Gdynia
were taken over byPO .N in August 1952. A ,bunker station was set up for
servicing ships plying between Poland and. China. A steam-powered pump for
heavy oil was installed and three pipelines, each seven centimeters in
7is Cher; were laid from the above-mentioned tanks. Two of the pipelines are
on the ground and the third is laid on trestles at a height of four meters above
the level of the wharf .
