3.. The 28 cranes ordered so far will therefore cost approximately 18 million ME:.
The 8 cranes for which no specifications had been received as of 4 December
1952 will cost about six million DME? Thus about 24 million DME from
Eberswalde wil go exclusively for reparations in 1953. In addition, deliveries
for the first quarter for which the raw material is already on hand amount to
about 5 million DIE; of this sus about 3?7 million DME are for P 2 deliveries..
For the deliveries for the , first quarter of 1953 kberswalde is relying on the
contractual approval (vertraglicher Zusagen) of the ordering party,, Dleichert
of SAG Tranvnash,.
4:. An electrically powered bridge crane for Polienex, Warsaw,, worth approximately
one million D2E is not included in the deliveries mentioned above, All except
135 tons of the raw material for the bridge crane is on hand at -'berswalde,
Very little of the raw material for a second bridge crane for Polimex is on
hand,, and it Is probable that the crane will not be delivered to Polimex in 1953y,
if at all; Polimex may cancel the order completely since the crane is needed
only for the months from Marc, to September each year,
Planned K.rynbau :rlerswal.de production (presumably non-=reparations production)
.for the first quarter of 1953 is as follows:

b? Thus, the situation at Kranbau 1berswalde is as follows:
Plan production (Planauflage) for 1953 24,000,000 DME
1953 Reparations Orders 240001,000 DMA;
Deliveries for the firaaat a?ter 1953 5,000,000 DME

IKranbau iberswalde will therefore have to withdraw from remaining 1952 contracts
amounting to about 9,500,000 DME,
T. On 6 November 1952 the Main Administration for Heavy Machine Construction of the
Ministry for Machine Construction ordered a:berswaalde to subcontract for direct
reparations orders with ABUS Foerderaaanlagen Leipzig=, The suggested amount was
three million DME? On 20 November 1952, however, the Main Adminiasatrati a wrote
Eberswaalde concerning allocations for the reparations plan and stated that Ebers=
walde was to take over the following amounts of structural metal (Metallkonstruktion
into its production plan (Planauflage) 0 100 tons from the Ernst- Thaaaelmannwerke
l,600 tons from Unruh & Liebig; and 2;,000 tons from Bleichert,, The A erswaalde
production plan for 1953 had already been exceeded,, howeverk, and for that reason
?'::e plant director of rberswalde wrote the Fain Administration on 3 December 1952
that his factory could not take over P 2 production. kberswalde has already
finished about-1,,5O0 tons of P 2 fabrication for Bleichert in the first quarter
of 1953, so the demands for Bleichoat stated in the Main Administration's letter
of 20 November have almost been fulfilled The hberswalde plant. director
suggested that P 2 production for the Ernst Thaelmaaannwerk and Unruh':,& Liebig
plants be transferred to ABUS Foerderanlagen Leipzig,, eapeciae y since the Office
for Reparations and'the Soviet Control Comission had forbidden Kranbau Fbers.de
to shift fram direct"Irepaa.ratioras orders Eberswalde also requested the Main
Administration toythe 9,, 5 million' DICE worth of orders remaining from 1952..
