THE APPRAISAL OF CONTENT IS TENTATIVE. (FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) 1. Sixteen rocket launchers and 12 trucks towing 85 mm AA guns moved out of the Friedrich August Kaeeerne in Leisnig on the morning of 17 February. At the same time armored vehicles from the Bueohe Kaserne left toward Goreohmits. The troops allegedly went to the Thuemlitz Forest in the Leipnitz area. On 18 February, 12 armored reconnaissance oars, 13 motorcycles and six motorcycles with sidecars left the Bucohe Kaserne and proceeded to the Thuemlits Forest, The troops allegedly proceeded toward Wermsdarf in the afternoon of 18 February. The troops returned again to the barracks installations in Leisnig during the afternoon and night of 20 February. Two trains were observed at the Riess railroad station on 21 February. Sixteen field howitzers were observed on one train and six T and 18 JS tanks on 25X1 On 20 and 21 February, two troop trains carrying elements of the 6th Guards AAA Division were unloaded at the Chemnite railroad station. 3. Traffic involving vehicles of the 9th Mechanised Division was repeatedly observed on the Cottbus ? Berlin Autobahn on 25 February. Ten J8-3 tanks entered the BECIMT/CONTROL ? M tor vehicle columns without lights proceeded toward Berlin, coming from Vetschau. Guides were posted at the entrance to the Autobahn near Vetschau and at the exit near Duben. A column of 75 trucks loaded with soldiers carrying field equipment was observed proceeding25X1 southeast between Freiwalde and Duben about midnight. Another motor vehicle 25X1 column was observed on the Cottbus - Vetschau road.2 a troop train left Dallgaw - Doeberitz for Forst Zinna on 27 February. Another troop train left Jueterbog for Rathenow on 28 February. 25X1 BEBRET/OCN OL - U.8, O OI MLT Exercises may have been held by the 8th Guards Mechanized 25X1 Division reinforced by elements of the 65th Ibrtsr Brigade of the 6th Artillery Division from Rathenow. The area of the exercise possibly extended from the billeting area of the division to the Riesa area. From there the troops returned to their stations by rail or truck.
