1. On 8 December 1952, 199 construction workers were

3. in early January, only 30 workers were employed at the field for clearing
sp work. These workers were allegedly to leave the installation soon.
There was no change in the status of the narrow-gauge field railroad track
which had been built from, , Tangerhuette to the airfield; However, locomotives
and cars used on this track had already been removed.
4. On 15 December, a Soviet construction detail of 80 men was stationed at the
'ield. On 27 D?c-tubers this detail and all its equip::ent was entrained at
Mahlwinkel railroad station. six trucks, one of which was 25X1X
4 tracto leveling equipment.
5. On 27 December, P_ah7winkel airfield was unguarded. Only the hunters lodge
which had been used-by the' Russians was -card^d by two civilians from
Mahlwinkel.
6. In late December, that construction work at the field was
^osnpleted and that a. . the srror ters except a rear detail of 30 men to be
employed for clearing-up work were withdrawn. The Soviet construction detail
had also been withdrawn from the field in late December 1952.1
1. Co.ssment. The report indicates that construction wort. at Mahlwinkel
r .r ield was completed in late 1952. It is noteworthy that the landing field
of the installation was only rolled. A temporary runway was not, built.
