1. Bulgarian faa oriel which, produce arms and ammunition are located as follows:
a. Sopot (N 42-38, E 24-16), near Karlcavvo, has a factory which produces artillery
shells and other ammunition;l
b. The Maleshevska section of Sofia has a factory which produces defensive bombs
and parts for all. t ss of military motor vehicles; permanently employs approxi-
mately 300 workers;
c. Sofia, Zavod No. 16, or Inzhinerska Rabotnitea (Engineers' Workshop), produces
various kinds of ammunition, rifles, machine pistols, and..antitank mines; also
repairs Bulgarian-made weapons; operates under the jurisdiction of the Bulgarian
Air Force;3
d. Kostenets (N 42-15, E 23-50), near the Kostenets railroad station on the So-
.a-Plovdiv railroad line, a factory which produces all types of ammunition;
e. Gabrovo (N 42-52, E 25-19) has two factories which produce powder; one of the
factories, calle "Eliovitsa, produces black. smokeless powder as well as other
kinds of powder; and
f. Kazanlak (N 42-37., E 25-24), has ,a factory, Zavod No. 13, which produces mm u_
nation, powder., rifles, gas masks and bombs and repairs various weapons.

with the latest technical equipmentg
The Chavdar Factory, which produces blankets, is located at Samokov (N 42-19, F. 23-33).
It manufactures approximately 1,200 military blankets or 2,400 meters of woolen
blanket terial per day. The persona?el work in three shifts., with 30 workers to
a shift.
