1, During 1950-1951 the naval barracks and berths for naval craft were moved from
the southern end of the reconstructed wharf on the western side of the harbor
to the eastern side of the harbor, A pier was. constructed near the junction of
the eastern mole with the shores and barracks and offices were built on the
shore facing the pier,
2. The rsi road lines which had previously been constructed from the railway sta-
tion., Mich lies at the northeastern end of the harbor areas along the northern
waterfront has now been extended aroung the western side of the harbor along
the reconstructed wharf. Two travelling cranes work on this line.
There are still three cylindrical oil storage tanks east of the eastern mole.
These are for the receipt of imported gasoline, lubricants and possibly diesel
oil' which are pumped to them from the delivery point along the western mole.
4. The Director of the Port is Zihni Mucos who was previously an official in the
Prime Minister's office. .
