1. It is expected that Secretary General Alois Vol gruber of the Austrian Foreign
Office will be appointed as 'Ambassador to France. before the end of April 1953,
He will replace the present ambassador,, Dry Heinrich Schmid, who has long been
ailing-and will probably retire.
A. permanent Austrian delegation is.. to . be assigned to tbe,..Eur;opean Coal and-'Steel
Union (Montan-Union) in Luxembourg. sometime before .April 1953. The delegation will
be headed by an as yet undesignated official of the Foreign Office and will consist
of a representative of the Ministry of National Enterprises;, a representative of
the Ministry- of Trade, and a technical expert on iron and coal
