1. In late January 1953, the airfield construction
? ;aroject at Jocksdorf had the-designation "Object No 1015". The area
was located between the forner glider field and a ocksdorf, and A few
kilometers fro the Polish border. Sauunion South had the contract.
for the work which was to be performed by 2,000 to 3,000 workers in the
spring of 1953. The laborers were quartered in temporary buildings
whose number was increased to about 40 in 'ebruary'? Construction
superintendent was Graduate Engineer Horn (fnu) a A railroad siding
was under construction between Si.Tr:iersdorf and Jocksdorf.

a lane had been out into the woods toward the village of Preschen?
Heavy caterpillar tractors were used for uprooting o A few meters of
standard-gauge rails 'had been laid fro" the point where the siding
branched off, while narrow-gauge field rails sti7l lay on the other
section of the embankments

buildings of the former Reich Labor service., were observed in a corner
of the woods about 800 meters north of Jocksdorf.
