1. The order for 25,000 day batteries has been filled by the Trockenbatteriewerk
Zeitzl; 20,000 were delivered to the USSR, and 5,000 were delivered to Leipzig
for the Volkspolizei. The factory has received an order for 8,000 more dry
batteries for shipment to the USSR. The manufacture of batteries for the
fulfillment of this order has been postponed because of a shortage of-zinc
plates.
2: It is not known if' any other East German factories have re~Ived orders for
the manufacture of dry batteries.
3a Manganese dioxide is supplied by the Deutsche Iland.elazentrale Chemt~e There is a
sufficient stock on hand at the present time so that no difficulties exist in
this respect
