The East Zone is planning to produce a drug for the arresting of tuberculosis on abasis of isonicotinic acid and hydrazine, somewhat similar to Neoteven, Rimizon or Ertuban. The production of a new medicament is dependent upon obtaining the . permiss .on of a commission of pharmacists, who are f i ly responsible for the results. 7. There is no medical preparation for hostilities. For example, the stocks of morphine and, other opiates on hand throughout the Fast Zone are only sufficient for current needs. The same is true of serums, which are often so short in supply that some search is necessary. _gECf`.ET/CONTROL--U.S.OFFICIALS ONLY Approved For Release 2009/02/19: CIA-RDP80-0081 OA001000240003-1
