Bata erected a new power plant, boiler house, and two five-.story production buildings, 20 x 80 m. i,n size. Equipment for the production of standard. type stockings and leather footwear was transferred into the new buildings from the Bata Works s at Otrokovice L79121N-1732E7and Zlin, now Gottwaldov. Both factories were originally called Bata, but the stocking'factory was renamed Kotva just prior to the out- break of World War II; the shoe factory continued to be called Bata. In 1948 both .factories bore the name Svit National Enterprise, Gottwaldov, T 27514 31514.
