In 1943 the woodwork shops, which handle about 40pOOO cubic meters of timber annually; were expanded, and new equip- ment for mass production was installed, in addition to electrical, appa- ratus for drying wood, k. This bureau was set up in 1949 and was operating successfully in 1950. As a result of the introduction of mechanical ind automatic processes the expenditure of labor on some articles has been reduced by 20-30 per cent.
