Air Raid Shelters in. Plovdiv
The air raid shelte'rs'already existing in Plovdiv are in the process of being
enlarged-and s project started in 1948 and is now nearin-
campletione in peacetime these shelters would be used as25X1
warehouses. e s e ers are ocated as follows:
a. On the slopes of Sakhat Hill;
b. On the slopes of Bunardzhik Hilly
c. On the slopes of Armensko Hill; and
d. On the slopes of Dzhurnayata Hill.
In'August 1952, work started on the construction of a new air raid shelter,
located on the slopes of Dzhendem Hill.3
