1. Textile Factory
a. The textile factory is located where the Kapos*&r-Gy6k6nyes railroad leaves
the--town- south of the Kapos*Ar-Nagykanizsa road. It occupies an area of
4OO by 800 m., has its own siding and is open only to the east being surrounded
by other building elsewhere. It was built by the Kaposfari Magasepit5 Trust,
b. The: factory consists of a six-story main building in the form of an. L, with the
east-west side the -longest. There are two buildings of three and four stories,
and some smaller buildings. The larger structures are all of reinforced concrete.
c. Water is led to the building by a canal from the Kapos River.
d. The work force. is about 3,000; 70 percent of the workers are women.. There are
three shifts, who opera'Ee around the clock.
Military cloth is the main production item, but four or five different fabrics
are also produced for civilian use. They are of a standardized- typp; , bu.t ofa good
quality and well dyed. The factory has its own generator, but it also draws
electricity from the ecsujhegy power station.
f. The wool comes from Poland and Rumania
were furnished by the USSR.

2. Precision Machine Factory
South of Kap?sTar on the Kapos River and the raod to Szt. Benedek is the
precision machine factory, which was completed and began operations in 1952,
It occupies an area of 200 by 300 m. and consists of two four-story buildings
of 50 by 20 m., several smaller buildings and a power station with a high.
chimney. There are about 500 workers,' 50 percent of them women.
