The following air activity and aircraft were observed at Altenburg alrfield between 21 and 27 February 1953' ,. gfy&., At 10 a.m., four 141,G--15s were aloft over the n. rfiel.d.. 'ere were no clouds and visibility was i;ood. Take,-offs were made by four MiG-15 sq at 10015 a.m. and by four other MG-15e, 25X1 at 10840 a.m. At l p .m,, 12 MiG-15s were ps, r e near the flight co ntrol statt on and 4 additional. When the two planes had landed. at the field, no a . r activi ty was ots erved up to 4 P.M. At that time, 14. jet fighters were parked in f nt of the flight control station, 4 jet fighters on the northern section of the rur'ray, and 1 single-engine plane with radial engine In the northern half of the field. Between noon and 3 p.m., no air activity was observed although there were no clouds and the visibility was good. At nightfall, the loud noise of jet aircraft was heard in the distance but no details could be ooservedo and visibility was limit ed to 5 or 6 kin.
