1. The shipyard-at Kresice (N 51/F? 55)p on the Elbe River, does repair work only.
It is equipped to undertake repairs to bottom and side plates, b iler?s and
engines of the larger river-going vessels. and it also can repair wooden barges.
About ;i00 to 130 people are employed at the shipyard. Tie director is Eng.
Aus*k (fnu), Five or six special Skoda engineers are also employed there.
2. The shipyard has two basins (Nos. I and 11 on the annexed sketch). Four or
five craft can be repaired at one time in each of the basins. In addition, one
more craft can be moored on the water at the entrance to each basin and repaired
there. Hauling gear is quite primitive,, consisting of .several beams about 60 am.
above ground and a set of pulleys; there are no cranes,
3. Repair work is done in the big workshop (No, III on the sketch) which is situated

out 100 meters up from the basins. Repair parts are carried to the workshop
on the small track. Plans were made to build a large hall above the basins but

three craft to be moored and repaired on the water.
