U.S. OFFICIALS ONLY In Septemher 1951 Constructia MFA.had 25 large buildings under construction at Baneasa. The site is a square chose sides are five kilometers long* The whole area is fenced with .barbed wire, and a military guard. is stationed at the entrance to the-site. The 25 buildings are being erected along the four sides of the squares, and all measure 40 by 16 meters. Eleven are one-story, and I.4 are two-story. Concrete used for the foundations, walls, and ceiling is estimated at 250 to 300 kilograms to the square meter, although the ground is firm and does not require such foundations,. The roofs, made of timber, are. angular and sharply sloped, A water distribution station is being built at the same place. Technicians at the site are of the opinion that plans include an airfield at this site.
