1. Construction of fortifications, which had been suspended for some time, has now
started once more. This was particularly noted in the immediate vicinity of
Elkhovo, Topolovgrad,.and on Mount Chalbaba, near Malko Sharkovo (N 42-06,
E 2649)
2e In this area, and particularly at Mount Chalbaba, underground shelters have been
excavated and emplacements have been constructed for heavy caliber guns.
3? In the Elkhovo - Fakiya (N 4212, E 2703) region, the fortified area extends for
an average depth of 30 to 40 kilometers,
