(FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) 25X1A 25X1 , The Stalin armored car factory at Stalin (Brasov) is now producing T-34 tanks, At the beginning of December 1952, 12 Russian engineers arrived in Stalin to take over the leading positions in the factory. Some of these engineers had spent as much as a year in the Borsig factory at Hunsfeld in East Germarrs, where some T-34.1 s, but especially spare parts for theme are produced. Five hundred particularly political reliable workers from the Stalin area have been sent to Chorzow and Huta Batory (sic) in Poland to be instructed in the construction of tanks and munitions. In these factories there also are Bulgarians for the same purpose. 3. During 1949 the Bela Brainer weapons factory was producing hand grenades. In 1950 an office for "special problems" was set up to prepare the factory for the production of other munitions. In September 1952 a Soviet technical commission visited the factory and until December 1952 was inquiring into the possibility of altering production to weapons The former I.A.R. factory was altered to the production of tractors and agricultural machinery. The five year plan calls for the production of 25,000 tractors, 5e. The Steagul Rosu ball bearing factory is headed by three Russian instructors.
