Between 3 and 6 p.m,, on 24 March 1953 there was' air activity by two
Jet : tbers et Welzow airfield Visibi?ity
was good. A biplane &nd 12 jet bombers were parked at the field. A
radio installation of one mast which wes braced by four guy wires each
at four points,, was observed about 1,000 meters east of the runways
between the two railroad lines. The rcder set was still located r~,$
of the Potershajr__ljtelzow railroad line m A small van-like truck
I Ias observed on the way to the field.
Comrin '.4'clzow airfield is occupied by bea & sr regiment which
is equipped with about 32 IL-28's. The radar set o bsei ved is of the AA
