1. The a e a Distribution Center No. 6, Bucharest, distributes 40,000
copies of Scan eia per day to Government offices and state enterprises in
the vicinity.
The Bucharest Tramway Company (formerly S.T.B.) receives 4,000 to 5,000,
and the Militia headquarters receives 1,000.
About 250 to 300 copies of Soviet papers and periodicals are also distributed
daily with Scan eia,
4. All enterprises which obtain their papers through the above distribution
center received lists, in which-are entered the sums which have been contributed
by the employees for the Casa Scanteia, a polygraphic center, Later these
Itvoluntaryli subscriptions were forcibly doubled for all employees whose monthly
salary exceeded 10,000 lei.
5. A total of 35,000,000 lei has been subscribed by these organizations, which
is to be collected in about 12 monthly installments. In Bucharest a total
of 200 million lei has been subscribed. More than one billion lei has been
subscribed in all Rumania,
