The Alcohol And Tobacco Monopoly (MAT) maintains 16 wine depots and four
vinegar depots in Bucharesta One-wine depot for top qualities is located
at 2 ftrada Banului near Calea Victories, next to the-Ministry of Finance.,
in the wine cellars formerly belonging to Prince Stirbei? The personnel
consists of 30,workers, four clerks, and four guards, two of whom live on
the premises..
o The. following.stocks are kept in the Strada Banului depots
a, Wine 5009000 liters in barrels.
b, Spirits.-'1009000 liters (Tuica, Drojdie, Rachiuri)o
c. Brandy -- 209000 liters in barrels and bottles.
A. Branded wines -m 1009000 bottles, for export and sale to foreign embassies..
The wine .comes from Panciu,: Odobesti, Arad and Mediae.
The Soviet. Embassy receives 100 bottles of brandy and 100 bottles of wine
monthly, but part of this is,said to. be distributed to-other embassies.
