Practiced were delaying action on both sides of Gleune against map enemy attacking from the area of Altec Lager (Steinlager), withdrawal to! a second line of resistance,, and active defense against the enemy by counterthrusts as well as local counterattacks against a temporarily entrenched enemy, penetration of enemy positions, withdrawal, and evaci- ation of wounded.
