1. The 4 Infantry Regiment is located in the Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej Barracks,
formerly Principele Mircea, Strada Paris 67.
Commander: Colonel Sava Boghici.
Adjutant: Captain Emil Marcu.
Strength: About 700 men. Divided into two battalions of four companies each,
plus an AT company, a commu:riications platoon,, an engineer platoon,
a technical company. Aside from the fact that the rifle companies
each have four light Degtyarev M.28 machin.e guns., the special equ-
ipment is not known. Not motorized

2. The 30 Infantry Regiment, in the Capitan Feraru Barracks, Strada Haia Lifechitz 35.
Commander: Colonel Constantin Bisu,
Adjutant: Major Ion Cozocaru.
Strength: About 500 man.. Divided into two battalions, each with three rifle
companies and a heavy weapons company, an artillery platoon, a
communications platoon and a technical company. Rifle companies have
four light ZB 36 machine guns and two heavy Maxim M.10 machine guns.
Weapons companies have four Degtyarev M.38 machine guns and four M.38
82 min mortars, Artillery platoon has four M,42 76.2 mm AT guns.

3. The 2 Heavy Infantry Regiment, in the I.V. Stalin Barracks, Strada Dorobantilor 79.
Commander: Lt. Col. Carol Melnic.
Adjutant: Major Ilse Covalenco.
Strength: 550 men. Divided into turd battalions of four companies each, plus an
AA platoon, an artillery platoon, a communications platoon. The unit
has eight half-tracks, type K-85.

4, The 2 Rifle Regiment, in V.I. Lenin Barracks, Strada Dorobantilor 77,
Commander: Colonel Victor Bobeteanu,
Adjutant: Major Stan Marguta,
Strength: About 500 men. Divided into two battalions of four companies each,
plus a technical company. Not motorized.
Shoulder boards dark green decorations with a hunter's horn in green. The unit
has often been in the Bihor Mountains, probably hunting for partisans. Close.-in
fighting is emphasized in training.
5. The 14 Artillery Regiment, in the Tudor Viadimirescu Barracks, Piata Armatei 3,
Commander: Colonel Gheorghe Chis,
Adjutant: Major Florea Sandu.
Strength: About 650 men. Divided into two battalions of three batteries each,
each battery having four 122 mm howitzers. Partly motorized with
caterpillar prime movers.

6, The 3 Heavy Artillery Regiment, in the Mitrea Cocor Barracks, Piata Armatei 9.
Commander: Colonel Nicolae Chiritescu.
Adjutant: Major Ilie Vanca.
Strength: About 300 men. Regiment, in process of organization. Up to 1 March 1953
it had only three batteries.

7, The 11 Parachute Regiment, in the A.A. Zhdanav Barracks, Calea Aradului 28,
Commander: Colonel Stelian Cosoveanu.
Adjutants Major Toma Nanau.
Strength: About 550 men. Divided into two battalions of four companies each,

piping runs to the Oradea West station, Three oil tanks above ground, 18 m high,
about 8 m. in diameter.
