1, A small crudely made bomb, stuffed with anti-Dulles ler~fleta, exploded
in 0onstitution Square in Athens at 2100 hours on 26 May and slightly
inured four passers-bye The bomb was made of a small tin oan, blank
powder, car dboar d packing, and a fusee The explosion destroyed most of
the leaflets, whioh were orudely made-and signed "KRE"' (Kommunistikon
comma Ellados -Communist Party of Greeoe)a The leaflets called UsSe
Secretary of State Dulles a MWar-Mongertt and told him to stay out of
Greeoeo
2e Similar leaflets were found at taro other points in Athens at the same
time,
3. Following this incident tha extensive security measures already taken
for the. safety of the Dulles party were greatly intensified in order to
reduce to a minimum any chance i'or a repetition of the incidents
