(FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) 1o Noteworth movements and concentrations of troops have taken place in Bulgaria during the past few weeks. Motorized and infantry units subordinate to 2 Division, as well as units from Nova Zagora, Yambol., Kharmanlii, and Simeonovgrad con- centrated in the Khaskovo area, important because of its proximity to t4e Greek and Turkish .frontiers. The eastern Rhodope Mountains region was fortified with bunkers, machine gun nests., and barbed wire entanglements. 2. A second concentration of troops occurred between Dragoman (N L2-56, E 22-56), Slivn.tsa (N 42-51,~) E 2'4-01),, and Breznik, west of Sofia., and extended to the Yugoslav frontier. 3. The Air Force units intended for eventual operations in that area were concentrat- ed at the airfields of Bozhurishte and Vrazhdebna, in the Sofia area, and Kosharite (N 41-29-, E 22 57)s, in the vicinity of Radomir. Motorized and infantry units of the Sofia garrison, of the 5 and 20 Regiments of Slivnitsa, and of the motorized regiment of Breznik were also concentrated here. Military units of the Vidin-Kula area were reinforced with a regiment from Oryakhovoo The military headquarters of PetrLch and Kyustendil were also strengthened. Motorized and infantry units as well as the Army Headquarters were moved from the city of Shumen. New Soviet-made weapons are tested in the areas around Shumen.
